Firefighters battled a large fire at a commercial building in Canton Thursday morning.

A portion of the building collapsed after fire crews responded to the fire on the 2700 block of East Lincoln Street around 4:30 a.m.

Canton firefighters told News Channel 5 three people living inside an apartment attached to an internet cafe got out safely.

Fire officials believe the gas fire started inside the vacant skill gaming facility.

Several fire departments are also assisting with the fire.

Officials closed East Lincoln Street while crews battled the fire.
