Canton Police are investigating a shooting that took place early this morning.
Police were called to Shorb Avenue NW and Wilson Place NW around midnight for reports of a shooting.
News Channel 5 is saying once police and EMT's arrived on the scene they found a man who had been struck by a bullet. He was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
Police are saying the man wasn't cooperating with the investigating officers following the incident.
No arrests have been made. More information will come as soon as it becomes available.

A Massillon man was shot in his side during a chase before 3 a.m. Monday morning.
Canton Police tell the Repository that it happened in the 2300 block of Eight Street NW. The victim was taken to Aultman Hospital.
Police say the bullet may have traveled to his spine.
His condition is not known at this time.

Canton police are looking for a gunman suspected of robbing four businesses within three hours Monday night in Stark County.
News Channel 5 reports the suspect robbed a Little Caesar's restaurant on Cleveland Avenue around 9:45 p.m.
Around an hour later, the suspect robbed the Murphy gas station on Tuscarawas Street.
The gunman then robbed a Family Video on Lincoln Way in Perry Township and a Marathon Gas Station on Lake Avenue in Massillon shortly before midnight.
Only a vague description of the suspect was released, but police say suspect was wearing a mask.

Stark County Sheriff's deputies arrested a bank robbery suspect Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies were called to the Key Bank bank on Cleveland Avenue SW in Canton Township for reports of a bank robbery.
Thanks to some tips from witnesses, police located 46-year old Gillett Jones, the man say police was responsible for the heist.
He was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail. Jones is facing charges of Aggravated Robbery.
Canton Police arrest three people accused to breaking into a vacant home not once, but twice.
Officers tell the Canton Repository that the three were after the home's appliances and scrap metal. The house is located in the 500 block of 15th Street NE.
A 21-year-old, 27-year-old and 50-year-old were booked into the Stark County Jail Friday.
Each face two counts of breaking and entering charges. The youngest suspect was arrested on an unrelated drug possession warrant.

An investigation is now underway after a resident snapped a photo of a Canton police officer who appeared to be sleeping on the clock.
The Canton Repository reports Sean Quinn sent the photo to the newspaper and said the officier was only a few hundred yards from a car crash. Quinn was looking for help following the collision on Monday.
Police Chief Dean McKimm told the Repository the officer was found inside his cruiser at 25th Street and Fulton Road NW. The chief did not name the officer in question.
McKimm says the officer could face disciplinary.

Police in Canton are concerned about a possible robbery team that they believe is linked to a string of incidents near a city school.
The Canton Repository reports that in two separate incidents, vicitms told police they were attacked by three suspects in their 20s.
The descriptions of the suspects are vague. Authorities believe the same suspects are connected to six robberies near old Lehman High School in Canton.
None of victims report any injuries and Capt. Dave Davis tells the newspaper he wants it to stay that way. Davis said the time of day and the locations of the robberies are reasons police say the incidents could be linked.
