Plemons Found Guilty Of Striking Springfield Officer

A Summit County jury has found a 35-year-old Doylestown man guilty on all charges after a drunk driving crash that left a Springfield Township police officer paralyzed.

Michael Plemons was convicted of aggravated vehicular assault , driving under the influence and hit-skip Wednesday evening.

Officer Mark Dodez was struck by the car on March 31 while walking along South Arlington Road investigating a separate incident.

Plemons will be sentenced Thursday morning at 9:30 by Common Pleas Judge Allison McCarty.
