Talk about a case of online dating gone wrong....

An Akron man is found guilty of raping a woman whom he initially met on Facebook.

Summit County Prosecutors say Daran Thomas, 21, was found guilty of  first-degree rape after an incident in which he met a woman on Facebook and then after she came to his house to watch TV, he then professed his love for the woman saying he wanted to marry her and have children.

Feeling uneasy, the woman wanted to leave and turned down Thomas' advances. He then raped the woman,  and threatened to hit her when she tried to stop him.

The woman was treated at a local hospital after she reported the incident and Thomas continued to harass her, calling and texting the woman while she was still at the hospital. He even threatened her on Facebook while she was at the hospital.

Thomas wil be sentenced on December 14th.
