The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a Saturday morning crash in Medina County that killed a Massillon man.

The Patrol said it happened at about 8:20 a.m. on U.S. 224 in Homer Township.  They say a car, driven by 46 year old Joseph A. Adkins, went off the right side of 224, just west of Congress Road, causing the car to hit a ditch and overturn.

Responders from the Lodi Fire EMS and the Town and Country Fire District went to the scene.

The State Patrol said no one else was in the car, and that the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of crash. The Patrol reports alcohol was not a factor.
