A single car crash early Sunday morning in South Akron killed the driver of the car.

It happened at just before 3 AM, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's office.

They say the car went off the right side of Manchester Road and struck a building. The car then caught fire, and the unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no reports of any injuries, and the building was not occupied.

Akron police tell AkronNewsNow that Manchester Road was closed after the crash, and reopened later in the morning.

The Medical Examiner's Office and the Akron Police Department are looking into the fatal crash.
