One Dead In West Akron Shooting

Akron police are looking into the fatal Friday night shooting of a man outside his West Akron home.

The Summit County Medical Examiner's office identifies the shooting victim as 33 year-old Shannon Bridges.

He was shot outside the home on Bellevue Avenue at about 10 PM Friday, and was pronounced dead about 20 minutes later.

An autopsy shows Bridges died of multiple gunshot wounds, and the Medical Examiner's office has ruled the death homicide.
