Doug Prade could find out in a few weeks whether he'll be either given a new trial, or have his murder conviction overturned for the 1997 death of his wife:

The vast majority of the testimony over four separate days surrounded the DNA sample taken from a bite mark on Dr. Margo Prade's lab coat, which experts say was not a match to the Akron Police Captain.

But at the last minute, the state discussed a sample taken from an artificial nail, which also did not have enough sample to either include or exclude Doug Prade from the findings.

Summit County Common Pleas Judge Judy Hunter finished hearing testimony on Wednesday. The evidence surrounding the bite mark on the lab coat was used in his conviction back in 1998, but the blood tests weren't done until this year.

Judge Hunter could issue a ruling sometime in December after she receives the final briefs from attorneys, who are reviewing 1200 pages of testimony.
