Firefighters are investigating a blaze that took place to a home in Akron's North Hill neighborhood Monday night.

No one was hurt  when the home on Julien Avenue caught fire. Damage was estimated at around $45,000.

A news release from the fire department says several neighbors called 911 with reports of heavy smoke billowing from the first floor of the house.

Those inside were out of the home before Akron fire units arrived on scene. The American Red Cross provided aid to the residents.

The blaze is still under investigation and a cause has been undetermined as of yet.
