Wearing a getup that looks more like a Halloween costume or a haz-mat suit than something suitable for a bank robber, police are looking for a man who held up the First Merit Bank branch at 1675 Merriman Road Monday afternoon and even fired a round into the wall to get his message across.
His description even includes his deep voice when demanding money at gunpoint.
Police say the man -- described below, wearing a black ski mask and clad in a banana-yellow rain suit, seen at left, complete with a yellow vest that had the word "visitor" on the back -- took off after the teller complied with his demand for money. The robber was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and even brought his own bag with him to carry the loot.
