A student at Canton South High School has been suspended after being told to cut his hair.

WKYC Channel 3 News reports Zach Aufderheide  is serving two days of in-school suspension starting Tuesday for not cutting his hair.

He is growing the flowing mane to benefit "Locks for Love," the group that accepts donations of hair to make wigs for children who've lost their hair because of illnesses such as cancer.

School policy maintains that male students hair must be kept at a certain length.

Zach says one inch is he needs to grow to make his donation, which will take a couple weeks.
