Authorities arrested a former Barberton man on drunk driving charges in Florida following his parole in 2007 after serving 25 years in prison for murder, according to a Florida newspaper.

The Beacon Journal reports 59-year-old Mark Headley was arrested in September for drunk driving and crashing into a sheriff's cruiser in Manatee County. The deputy was injured, according to the Bradenton Herald.

Headley served 25 years in prison for the beating death of his girlfriend, 22-year-old Sandy Burger in March of 1982. He could be sent back to prison for the parole violation.
