In-person early voting begins tomorrow (Tuesday) in Ohio and locally Summit County Elections Director Joe Masich says they're prepared for a brisk turnout. " We are preparing and anticipating a turnout. So many people will decide to vote in that fashion so we will be set up at 8am. I don't think it will be as heavy as some people are anticipating, but we're prepared in case the crowds do grow,"says Masich.
Joe Masich says that they've made changes at the board office to make it easier to get in and out to vote. " We've cleared out a rather large center room to set up the voting stalls, and we've set up a serpentine rope type system to keep the line less chaotic and organized."
" We do have a number of part-time people buzzing around here because we anticipate trying to mail the absentee ballots by mail. We will mail a great deal of them tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.
Masich says if you want to avoid longer lines its best to show up mid-day to vote. He expects the heaviest turnout to be early morning at the Noon lunch hour and late afternoon. Early voting hours are 8am to 5pm at the Summit County Elections Board.
