A robbery suspect failed to get what he wanted from an Akron man Wednesday night.

Shortly before 10:00pm last night, a 42 year resident, on Casterton Avenue, was confronted in his backyard by a man possibly armed with a gun. The suspect demanded the resident's property and the victim ran around the house where the suspect caught up to him again. When the victim told the suspect he didn’t have anything, the suspect punched him in the face and fled the area.

The victim had minor injuries to his left eye and refused medical attention.

The suspect is a black male, 19 – 25 year old, 5’09” – 5’11”, 150 – 160 lbs., and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and pants. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Akron Police department.
