A Perry High School student is facing punishment after a picture of him and several students dressed as Massillon cheerleaders stirred up controversy.
WKYC Channel 3 News reports the picture was taken at a Perry High School pep rally. One 17-year-old boy was dressed as a cheerleader carrying a baby doll.
Superintendent John Richard tells Channel 3 News the student is facing punishment for his actions including writing a letter of apology to the Massillon cheerleaders.
The Perry Local school district is now looking into creating a new guidelines for students at pep rallies.
