UPDATE Akron: Multiple Shots Fired, Man Injured

Akron Police Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred around 9:30pm last night in the 600 block of Noah Avenue. The victim, Zakari A. Ferguson, 26, of Orlando Avenue, was sitting on the porch with several other men when he was shot in the chest.

Ferguson tried to flee the area, but was found in the back yard on Noah Avenue when officers arrived. Ferguson was transported to the hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

Two vehicles parked in the driveway on Noah Avenue were also damaged.

No description of the suspect is available at this time.
