Wooster Sellers Robbed In Akron

It was a case of seller beware in Akron on Sunday.                               

Around 2:30pm Sunday afternoon, two men drove to Akron from Wooster, in an attempt to sell stereo equipment and a projection television. The men tell police they met the potential buyer in the parking lot of a car wash, in the 1500 block of Frederick Boulevard. While they were trying to make the sale, two other men armed with a shotgun robbed the victims of the stereo equipment, their vehicle, a 2000 Chrysler Town and County van and $1,000.00 in cash. The suspects fled with the stolen equipment and the van.

The suspects are described two black males, 22 – 26 years old, 5’07” – 5’09”. The first suspect has black short hair and was wearing a black baseball hat and dark clothing. The second suspect was bald and had gold capped teeth.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating the stolen van, bearing Ohio registration FPL9357.

Anyone with information about the robbery, or the whereabouts of the stolen van, is asked to contact Akron Police
