Nate Summerfield will be extradited back to North Carolina to face charges in connection with the murder of Ashland mother Lynn Jackenheimer after waiving his rights.
News Channel 5 cameras were present during Summerfield's extradition hearing. Most of the people in the court were tight-lipped inlcuding Summerfield, his parents, and family and friends of Lynn Jackenheimer were also there.
Lynn's sister told Channel 5 she "hopes Summerfield burns in hell" after the hearing took place in Medina County Common Pleas Court this morning.
Jackenheimer went missing over the Fourth of July weekend in the Outer Banks of North Carolina while vacationing with Summerfield.
He (Summerfield) was arrested earlier this week after a nationwide manhunt led authorities to a Medina hotel where he was taken into custody without incident.
Due to Summerfield's decision, he is expected to be sent to North Carolina within days, where he will be housed at the Dare County Detention Facility.
