WGAR Radio Host Chuck Collier Dies From Heart Attack

Longtime Cleveland radio host and music director at 99.5 WGAR, Chuck Collier, died Thursday from a massive heart attack.

Collier was 64 years old.

He spent his time at WGAR for 40 years on both AM and FM radio and also was the midday voice on Majic 105.7 WMJI.

Collier was inducted into the Country Music Radio Hall of Fame in 2009 and also was a recipient of the National Association of Broadcasters' Marconi Award for Large Market Personality of the Year in 2007.

According to Collier's bio on WGAR, he is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and worked throughout the area in Dayton, Cincinnati, and New York City.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
