Father Sam's Attorney Suspended

The Cleveland attorney who had once represented Father Sam Ciccolini has been suspended indefinitely by the Ohio Supreme Court.

Carolyn K. Ranke was suspended for professional misconduct with two clients.

After grievances were filed against Ranke by the clients, the court also noted her failure to cooperate with disciplinary authorities during the investigation.

Father Sam was once represented by Ranke during his appeal after he was ordered to pay $3.5 million in restitution to the Interval Brotherhood Home Foundation.
