Northfield Police Investigate Bank Robbery

Northfield police along with the FBI are investigating an alleged bank robbery that took place late Monday morning.

Authorities say a man targeted the Charter One Bank on Northfield Road around 11:50 a.m.

The Beacon Journal reports the man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. He then took off on foot with an unreported amount of cash.

Police are also looking to see if the man had accomplice help him with the alleged heist and getaway.

He is described as a dark-complexioned black man standing about 6 foot tall with a goatee. During the time of the incident, he was wearing a white baseball hat, black pants and a white shirt with black stripes on the sleeves

Anyone with information is asked to call Northfield police.
