North Canton Police think they may have a serial bank robber on the loose in their city.

A bank inside a North Canton Giant Eagle grocery store was robbed by a man who may be linked to three other bank robberies, police say.

Just after 6 p.m. Friday, a man handed a teller at the Huntington National Bank in Washington Square a handwritten note. It said the suspect needed 100s, 50s and 20s from the drawer without any dye packs.

North Canton police said the robber, who was about 30 to 35 years old, mentioned a gun twice. He also put his hand on his waist, indicating he had a weapon, but no gun was seen during the robbery.

The suspect is described as about 5 foot 10 and weighing 175 pounds. According to police, he was wearing a white polo-style short-sleeved shirt with black or blue stripes. He was wearing black shorts, black shoes and a hat hat.
