A Ravenna Township man has been arrested after deputies say they found 56 marijuana plants on his property Monday.

Members of the Portage County Drug Task Force were searching for marijuana-growing operations in the area when they spotted several plants growing outside of the home of Mark S. Hagy, 52, in the 5000 block on Indian Canoe Trail.

Hagy was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana after he led deputies on a chase in a dump truck.

Task force agents found 56 marijuana plants on the property and found a detatched building which converted into a marijuana grow room.

Authorities also found an additional 150 marijuana plants throughout Portage County while conducting "marijuana eradication" in the area.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Ohio BCI assisted with the investigation.
