Summit County Sheriffs are warning parents of an attempted child abduction on April Drive in Green.

Allegedly on Monday night around 6:25pm a man with gray hair and a beard wearing a white shirt, blue tie and tan pants attempted to abduct a seven year old girl.

Residents of Green and surrounding communities are asked to be on the lookout for a vehicle described to be a yellow car with a bike rack and a football sticker on the back.

Sheriffs inspector Bill Holland spoke with AkronNewsNow and said "if anyone sees the car matching the description, a yellow car with a bike rack on the back with a football helmet decal. Give the Summit County Sheriff a call or your local police department."

"The victim stated that the man did not say anything to her." says Holland

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with more information or if you witness suspicious activity, you're asked to contact the Summit County Sheriffs department.
