Akron Shooting Averted

An arrest by Akron Police may have averted a tragedy.

24-year old Tanela Beasley of Bellevue Avenue in Akron was charged with aggravated menacing and weapons under disability after she allegedly threatened to shoot people at the Flash Dance Cabaret on East Market Street.

Upon her arrest police discovered she had allegedly hidden a gun in the ceiling of the cabaret dressing room.

Larry also served as news director of the former WAKR TV 23 in Akron. Larry was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in Akron in 2004.
