Four of the five firefighters who were fired for trading shifts are now back on the job after reaching settlement agreements.
The Canton Repository reports the assistant law director issued a statement saying William Hallas, Andrew Bolgiano, Timothy Givens, and Kevin Gordon returned to work this week after getting fired in June by Safety Director Thomas Ream.
A fifth firefighter, Rosario Carcione was reinstated last week after an arbitrator's ruling ordered the city to bring him back.
As part of their settlements, the firefighters who were brought back to work this week had their suspensions cut in half and will also get back pay.
The discipline came down after an investigation revealed the shift trading occurred between October and December of last year.
