The Barberton man who spent 50 days in a Hatian prison is now back home a free man.

News Channel 5 reports Jason "Zeke" Petrie is back home after being arrested in Haiti during a pro-military rally on May 18.

The 39-year old Petrie told Channel 5 his living conditions inside the  Port-au-Prince prison were deplorable and that there weren't many worse places he could have been.

His incarceration sparked a lot of concern back home, where his family was concerned about not getting treatment for his diabetes.

The Haitian government accused Petrie of driving the pro-army rally and was viewed as someone who was trying to overthrow the government.

While in Haiti, Zeke worked with numerous foreign journalists and visitors as a translator or a driver.

Petrie says he's not sure if he will return to Haiti.
