News release - Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA)

An Air Quality Advisory for fine particles and ozone has been issued for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties.

The advisory will be in effect on Monday, July 2, 2012. Air quality levels will be 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' during this period.

If you are in the 'Sensitive Groups' category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check live map of air quality readings.

Pollution generated from automobiles along with carry over pollution will assist in the formation of ozone in the presence of bright sunlight. Warm and moist conditions will assist in the accumulation of fine particles.
