Two Akron Men Found Guilty in Drive-Thru Shooting Death

Two 19-year old Akron men are found guilty by a jury of murder and robbery in the July 2011 shooting death of  Salim Suleiman at Kelly's Drive-Thru on Copley Road in Akron.

Gevonte Hunter, 19, of Hollywood Avenue , and Alan Lollis, 19, of East Glenwood Avenue were found guilty of Murder, and Aggravated Murder with a firearm specification and two counts of Aggravated Robbery with firearm specifications.

Early in the evening of July 19th, Hunter and Salim Suleiman met at the drive-thru. Lollis, who knew Suleiman, had set up the meeting. Hunter robbed Suleiman and then shot him in the chest.

Summit County Common Pleas Judge Tammy O’Brien will sentence Hunter and Lollis on July 12th.
