Everyone dreads being pulled over and getting a ticket for violating traffic laws. But now the Summit County Sheriff's Department and local businesses want to reward you this summer for obeying traffic laws.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is announcing its new “Golden Ticket” program. The program rewards courteous drivers and those who display safe driving habits. The Golden Ticket program is sponsored by local businesses. If someone is “caught” being a safe driver, they may be awarded a Golden Ticket containing valuable coupons good at many businesses in the area. In addition, individuals who receive the ticket have a chance to win free merchandise.
