Two area men have been sentenced to prison for their roles in robbing a man trying to sell his X-Box on Craigslist.

Visiting Judge Robert Brown sentenced Jeremy Culver, 18, of Chamberlin Road in Fairlawn, and Shawn Davis, 20, of Seward Avenue in Akron, to seven years in prison.

The two agreed to meet at the victim’s house. At the house, Culver agreed to purchase the Xbox, then walked onto the porch. Three men wearing black hoodies immediately charged into the house. One of the men, Davis, held a gun to the victim’s head and ordered him to his knees. As the three discussed ransacking the house, Davis looked away from the victim, who took that opportunity to pull a gun from his waistband and shoot at Davis. The three men fled the house.

On May 2nd, a jury found Culver and Davis guilty of Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Robbery. Davis was also found guilty of two firearm specifications.
