Akron Chidren's Hospital has been recognized as one of the nations best pediatric hospitals in this year's U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals rankings.
The hospital ranked in the top 50 in eight out of ten specialties.
- 24th in pediatric urology
- 28th in pulmonology
- 30th in neonatology
- 31st in cancer
- 34th in nephrology
- 35th in orthopedics
- 37th in neurology and neurosurgery
- 49th in cardiology and heart surgery
The hospital was recognized in only four categories last year - 33rd in orthopedics, 40th in pulmonology, 42nd in nephrology and 48th in neonatology.
Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital made the list in all ten specialities including 3rd in the nation in neurology and neurosurgery.
