Akron Murder Victim was Strangled To Death

It's now official. A 68-year old Ellet man found dead in his home was a murder victim.

The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy Friday on the body of Leonard McHaddon and ruled that he was strangled to death. 

McHaddon, of Ripley Avenue in Akron was found by his son shortly after 8:00 Thursday morning on the bedroom floor.

Later that day a man and woman were detained by Akron Police while driving McHaddon's missing car. They were being questioned 

43-year old Shannon Mount, of Akron , who was driving the car, was charged with receiving stolen property...for having possession of the victim's car. The female passenger was not charged\

Detectives are continuing their investigation.
