The City of Fairlawn is starting to save for their annual 4th of July celebration that includes a fireworks display and a parade.

The Fairlawn Community Foundation is now in charge of fundraising and they are relying heavily on the community and local businesses to raise the money as they have in the past.

Mayor Bill Roth tells AkronNewsNow.com that "Last year we had one of the best fireworks displays [i think] we ever had, it's very popular, we attract not just people from Fairlawn but really the surrounding communities, it's a great family event both the fireworks and the parade."

The fireworks display will take place on July 3rd and the parade on July 4th.

If you are interested in donating to the Fairlawn Community Foundation and their effort to raise money for the 4th of July celebration you can make checks out and send them to City Hall payable to the fairlawn Community Foundation or go to the Fairlawn website.
