A Medina County juvenile court judge has declared a Lodi teen competent to stand trial after police say he stabbed family members in April.
Judge John Lohn decided in juvenile court Wednesday that a 16-year old boy has been ruled competent to stand trial after he was accused of stabbing both his parents and younger brother April 5.
News Channel 5 reports the teen is charged with two counts of attempted murder and four counts of felonious assault.
Police reports indicate Medina County Sheriff's deputies and Lodi police arrived to the Evergreen Drive home in April after the boy's mother said her son attacked her, her husband and her other son. It's still unknown what prompted the incident.
The Lodi teen's parents were both inside the courtroom, but did not comment during the proceedings.
A probable cause hearing is set for July 20 to see if the case will go to adult court.
