It's no surprise with the hot, sunny weather in Northeast Ohio this Memorial Day holiday weekend...there's an air quality advisory in effect through Memorial Day afternoon.

-----------

(NOACA News Release) Northeast Ohio: An Air Quality Advisory for ozone and fine particles has been issued for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory will be effective from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon. Air quality levels will be 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' during this period.

If you are in the 'Sensitive Groups' category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check live map of air quality readings.

Pollutants accumulated due to stable atmospheric conditions will form ozone in the presence of abundant sunlight. The particulate pollutants assisted by moisture will remain suspended in atmosphere resulting in unhealthy air quality for sensitive groups.
