Blood Left On Window Helps Police Catch Suspected Burglar Featured

Akron Police have a suspected burglar in custoday after they tracked him down with the blood he left when he cut himself on a broken window at a local church.

61-year old William Field is is now facing burglary charges in connection with a break-in at St. Paul's Parish on Mission Drive New Year's Eve of 2011.

News Channel 5 reports Father Ralph Thomas told Akron Police when he got home to the church rectory he found out about the incident. A broken window on the church's east side was discovered along with a side door that had been damaged.

In addition, Thomas' wallet, containing his credit cards and checkbook had been stolen.

Police were able to match the blood on the window with that of Field earlier today. He is currently in the Summit County Jail.
