A North Canton man has been charged after a crash into the downtown Canton federal building early Saturday morning.

The Canton Repository reports that 26 year-old Christopher McCormick is accused of ripping off his clothes and ran around after crashing his car into the Ralph Regula Federal Building on McKinley Ave. SW at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police reports cited by the newspaper say the man jumped two curbs with his car at the federal building and then struck the southwest, back entrance.

The reports say he then took off his clothes and ran around the area.

McCormick was booked into the Stark County Jail on a felony vandalism charge, and an unrelated warrant for criminal trespassing.

He was taken to Aultman Hospital for an evaluation, then booked into the Stark County Jail.
