Update: 12:10 p.m. Friday:
Children were discovered home alone inside an apartment that caught fire in Cuyahoga Falls Friday morning.
"They did find three children, ages 5, 5 and 6, that were unattended in one of the apartments," Cuyahoga Falls Police Sgt. Gary Merton Jr. said.
The children were taken to Akron Children's Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation, where the mother of two of the children is waiting by their side.
Meanwhile, Police say mother Morgan Massett, 27, is charged with three counts of child endangerment. Merton says it's likely Summit County Children Services will investigate the incident.
Fire officials were called to an apartment on Prange Drive at 4:30 a.m. Friday. The blaze spread from one unit to another, while a third unit had smoke damage.
The cause of the fire and extent of of damage is unknown.

Three children are now hospitalized after a fire broke out in a Cuyahoga Falls apartment.
Police and fire officials were called to an apartment on Prange Drive around 4:50 a.m Friday morning.
The children were taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation. There was also an individual taken out of the front unit and was treated for smoke inhalation and burns.
Fire companies remain on scene. No firemen were injured during the fire. No word yet on what caused it.
There is no damage estimate at this time.The condition of the children and the other person in the apartment is unknown at this time.
