Akron Robbers Strike Chicken Restaurant

A couple of men wanted more than chicken to go at a south Akron fast food restaurant Wednesday night.

Akron Police report that around 8:00 pm , the Church’s Chicken, at 700 South Arlington Street, was robbed at gunpoint.

 Employees reported two males entered the restaurant, one suspect jumped on the counter and pulled out a handgun demanding money. The suspects fled westbound on Pardee Avenue with an unreported amount of money.

Lieutenant Rick Edwards says the suspects are two black males, 18 – 22 years old, 5’09” – 5’11”, 170 – 180 lbs., wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.

The suspects may have been in a newer, dark blue, Chevy Malibu or Impala with a temporary tag. Anyone with information is asked to contact The Akron Police Department Detective Bureau .
