Streetsboro police already arrested one man, now they have the ex-wife of the shooting victim in what police say was a fight over custody of the couple's children turned attempted murder.

Streetsboro PD news release: Ronald L Higgenbottom II, 31, of Akron was arrested at a home on Riverside Dr in Akron and charged with Attempted Murder for the shooting of Tracy Cresong in Streetsboro.
This afternoon, a second person, Cheryl A Cresong, 34, of Akron was charged with Complicity to Attempted Murder for assisting Higgenbottom in committing the crime. Cheryl Cresong is the ex-wife of the victim, Tracy Cresong and there have apparently been ongoing custody disputes over their children and other issues between the two.
These disputes were the motive for the shooting of Tracy Cresong. Due to the ongoing investigation, we are unable to release further information at this time. Both subjects will be held at the Portage County Jail tonight and will be arraigned tomorrow.

Police say they responded to a call shortly before 4 o'clock this morning and found a victim, 35-year old Tracy Cresong. He was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Akron City Hospital. His condition is not known.
Streetsboro authorities say the suspect in the shooting fled the scene. But, authorities was found him a short time later,
Akron Police took into custody Ronald Higginbottom II at a home in the city. He was arrested without incident. Streetsboro police had obtained an warrant for Higginbottom on a charge of Attempted Murder.
