The woman accused of posing as a fake veterinarian faced two of her accusers during her pre-trial hearing.
News Channel 5 is saying 35-year old Brandi Tomko faced a pair of pet owners who say she is responsible for their dogs' deaths during a special meeting.
One of the pet owners, Bob McGee of Akron, says his dog was also treated by Tomko and had to be put down after getting treatment for diabetes.
McGee, a disabled Persian Gulf veteran says his dog Allie was not just a companion, but a service dog that helped him with his day-to-day tasks.
Akron Police say Tomko treated animals at the now-closed C & D Animal Hospital on Brittain Road in Akron.
McGee came forward after dog owner Kenny Reymann shared his story with the media earlier in the year.
Tomko, who is currently out on bond, is charged with 33 counts of animal cruelty, identity fraud, and practicing without a license, even though she had no formal veterinary training.
She will be arrainged on new charges May 14th.
