Akron-Canton Airport continues to expand, offering customers a new long-term parking lot.

Kristie Van Auken, senior vice president, said the airport plans to open the new 'Super Saver' parking lot on June 1.

"We needed to add a little more parking. We've grown so much over the last couple of years that the automobiles parking out on our lots started to outnumber the number of spaces we had," said Van Auken.

The new 750 space lot will be off Lauby Road across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn.

About 500 spaces will be open in June and the additional 250 spaces will open in mid-July.

"It will be our most economically priced lot. It's going to be priced at $6 a day. So, it's actually going to be our lowest priced option on the airfield and cheaper than anything we have right now," said Van Auken

Passengers will be offered a free shuttle service to the airport from the parking lot.
