Streetsboro Police are searching for thieves who they say are stealing catalytic converters from parked cars within the city.

News Channel 5 reports the thefts occurred within a 24-hour time frame at three apartment complexes.

Police say Tuesday five thefts have been reported at Shady Lake Apartments, Portage Pointe Drive and Maplewood Drive while the cars were parked overnight. There have been no arrests made as of yet.

Catalytic converters can be profitable, as they are sold for hundreds of dollars a piece at either a scrap yard or recycling center.

Anyone with information can call or email the Streetsboro Police Department.
