Bond Set At $1 Million For Akron Murder Suspect

An Akron murder suspect entered a not guilty plea during his arraignment hearing Tuesday morning in connection with the shooting death of a 24-year-old man.

Anthony Hill Jr., 20, of Akron, is charged with murder and felonious assault . He is currently being held on a $1 million cash bond.

Authorities used tips and scanned hours of surveillance to track down Hill. Police found him outside a home on East Avenue at 6 p.m. Monday.

On Saturday morning, Richard A. Coryell was discovered on the sidewalk with a fatal gunshot wound outside of Old Haunts Tavern off of East Market Street.

Hill's next court appearance is set at 8 a.m. May 4th in Summit County Common Pleas Court. ..
