Columbus Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

The Department of Defense announced today that a 26-year-old soldier from Columbus has been killed in Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeant Christopher L. Brown died April 3rd in Kunar, Afghanistan.

He was attacked and suffered wounds from an improvised explosive device while on foot patrol.

Brown was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
