An Akron woman was sentenced for her admitted role in the robbery of a skills games business.
The Canton Repository reports 23-year old Jasmine Viel was sentenced to three years in prison for her part in the robbery at the Internet 777 on Lincoln Way E in Perry Township last October.
She told the court Monday she had a central role in the hold-up at the gaming center, saying she “got caught up in a guy.”
Court documents say Viel went into the business texting the robbers information about the lack of security inside the building and the number of people inside before letting the robbers in and driving the getaway car.
No other people have been charged in the case and one of the suspected robbers is currently behind bars serving time for a separate case.
The judge in the case said after sentencing he would consider releasing Viel after one year in prison.
