The City of Akron joins the ranks of Forbes.com's Most Miserable Cities in the U.S. While the rubber city found itself at #12 on the list in 2010, this year, it's a little better.

Forbes.com cites Akron's vacant "3,000 properties currently on the Akron Service Department's list of problem homes" to list it at #14 in 2011.

America's Most Miserable Cities:

1. Miami, Florida.

2. Detroit, Michigan.

3. Flint, Michigan.

4. West Palm Beach, Florida.

5. Sacramento, California.

Cleveland swooped in to take over the #12 spot, falling from #10 in 2010.
