A teenager came to the rescue of his aunt during a robbery early Wednesday morning.

Akron police reports the robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. at a Circle K store in the 900 block of South Arlington Street.

Police say Lee A. Caldwell, 32, of Akron asked a 65-year-old woman for change as she was trying to make a purchase.

When the victim told Caldwell that she didn't have any change, the suspect grabbed the money from her hand and attempted to run.

The victim's nephew immediately tackled the suspect and held Caldwell until police arrived.

Caldwell was treated for a bloody nose and mouth before.

He was charged with robbery and booked into the Summit County Jail.
