No, it wasn't just you. That really was an earthquake you felt earlier this afternoon.
It's epicenter was 405 miles away in Mineral, VA, but easily registered throughout the Akron area, along with a major slice of the Eastern United States.
"Our mini blinds were shaking, our plants were shaking and it just felt like I was floating or something," said Cheryl, who called our newsroom from her office in on Kenmore Boulevard.
That call was one of many we received at AkronNewsNow.com from people who either wanted to tell us about the tremor or question if that's what really happened.
"It kind of scared me at first because when he (her boyfriend) said it, it frightened me because I'm up on the third floor in a high rise," said Vanessa, who lives on Locust Street in Akron.
You knew you weren't alone if you were listening to the Cleveland Indians game on 1590-WAKR. Broadcaster Mike Hegan commented, "Boy, that was a strange feeling."
